Catherine Cook

MDiv, LPC (in residence)

Catherine “Cathy” Cook, MDiv, LPC, is known for going the extra mile with 101 percent effort. Catherine is Episcopal/Presbyterian and lives on the campus of Virginia Theological Seminary. She has two masters degrees, one from Yale and one from Marymount University, and certificates from Blanton-Peale Graduate Institute of Religion and Health in New York City. Catherine served as therapist II with city government and a community service board where she received the Phillip Bradbury award. She has a real passion for the integration of religion and psychiatry. Overall, she likes to cultivate wholeness and healing. She believes in the mind-body-spirit connection. Catherine has worked with amazing, resilient clients all of whom are 18 years of age or above.

Catherine currently works full-time for a non profit and specializes in adults who are dually diagnosed and disabled but wants to expand her horizons to all walks of life. In the past she worked with those with depression and anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, compulsions, bipolar, substance abuse and around common problems concerning work, love and play. Catherine sees all adults including individuals, couples and their family members.

Catherine welcomes telephone inquiries, emails and contacts through Virginia Theological Seminary, referrals from congregations and any one self referred.
