Alexandra Delaroderie, MA (in residence)
Alexandra Delaroderie, MA earned her M.A. from Oakland University. She currently holds an LLPC in Michigan and is actively working toward her licensure in Virginia. Alexandra seeks to assist clients in making a positive difference in their lives. Focusing on her clients’ needs, she approaches clients with warmth, compassion, and empathy. Using a variety of techniques, Alexandra helps clients to understand and process their concerns. She offers support to individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing personal problems and life changes. Alexandra has extensive experience helping those who struggle with career issues, military family deployment, and fertility issues.
Coming to CPC, Alexandra provides a great wealth of experience in Career Counseling. She brings eight years of helping federal employees as well as two years in a Community College setting. Using a holistic approach, she works with individuals to determine a career path by exploring their values, skills, and abilities. In addition, she assists clients with resume writing and interviewing techniques.
Alexandra is a member of the American Counseling Associaton (ACA) and National Career Development Association (NCDA). I am a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator, which is a strength based online assessment tool she uses with premarital and married couples. Additionally, she completed Level 1 training for Gottman Method Therapy for couples.
Alexandra has had three years’ experience in working with military families as an Ombudsman. She supported families whose service member was deployed overseas. She provided support, resources, and assisted with the challenges of deployment including: single parenting, first experience in the military, separation, and readjusting to family life. In addition, she assists clients with resume writing and interviewing techniques.
Alexandra’s experiences with fertility issues can be of support to the individual or couple in dealing with their emotions, feelings, and spirituality.
