The issue of sexual identity is one which affects nearly every aspect of an individual’s life: relationships, family, social life, work. Those who are struggling with their sexuality also know how isolating it can be to feel “different” and the stress that can come from trying to make decisions about whether to remain private about these issues versus sharing them with loved ones. While the GLBT community faces many of the same issues as those who are heterosexual, they also face the devastating issues of judgment, homophobia and prejudice. People of faith may also experience painful questions about how following their own sexual orientation may affect their relationship, not only with those they love, but with their faith community and with God. The following CPC counselors work with GLBT issues:

Carey Gauzens, LCSW, CP
Kevin Ogle, DMin, AAPC Fellow
Stephanie L. Shaefer Ph.D., M.Ed., L.P.C. Approved Supervisor for LPCs and MFCCs
