Men in today’s society face a paradox: Society asks men to be strong, to be breadwinners, to be able to cope, while at the same time, there are demands for men to communicate more openly, show their feelings more and express more support for their loved ones. The pressures of these conflicting demands can be confusing, frustrating and, at times, overwhelming. Therapists and workshops which focus on men’s issues can help men sort out how they want to live their own lives, and what choices and boundaries they want to draw, in order to be the best man, husband, father and worker that they can be.
